Hi everyone. I just bought a 1998 cobra a couple weeks ago and heres what happened this morning.

Two days ago, the last time i drove it it was running perfectly. I go to drive it today and i am having issues. It seems like the clutch is slipping. Whenever i give it gas, the engine revs high then it catches itself and "locks" in. I recently installed a new clutch cable too. It makes a funny creeking noise when i push the pedal and let it out. Could the cable be out of adjustment? The clutch looked brand new when i installed the cable as well. I find it hard to believe the clutch could be worn. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you

Are you able to put it in gear while it's running?

Logic would dictate that if it was fine before and the only thing you changed was the clutch cable, your issue probably lies there.

From the sounds of it, you have the cable to tight, and it's putting to much pressure on the pressure plate.
