Well, not that I had any doubt, but any threat of some sort of “civil war” is ridiculous.

I will just whisper and clap to send them all into a triggered frenzy.

This phase we are in, is going to stick around for a while. These people are sad, confused, angry and hateful. IMO, they are dangerous, you are looking at the type of person we are going to be dealing with for at least a decade. The 60s seem like a junior high student body election cycle compared to today.

These people...LOL

As a public service announcement, I would like to remind these people that if someone does not "intend" to offend you, you should not BE offended. If you are not sure if the other party meant to offend you there are two (2) choices. #1. Forget about it, or #2. Ask them if they meant to offend you on purpose.

Generally you should choose #1 above, since most people that don't know you don't care anyway, and as such could not have formed a reasonable opinion of you in order to actually offend you.

In the event that the offence is directed at your appearance, their insult is shallow (they are stupid for wielding such a stupid insult), and again use opinion #1 above.

Generally I have not found any answer to #2 that is intellectually inspiring, but knock yourself out.

The above PSA was brought to you so you enjoy your life and so people who are drowning is a self induced "life quicksand", don't drag you in.

E :D

"I just want to say, can we please keep the chatter to the minimum? I'm one of the people who's very, very prone to sensory overload," Jackson said. Several other delegates could be seen waving "Jazz hands" in the air, instead of applauding, as he spoke. (Jazz hands are considered less "triggering" to those sensitive to loud sounds.)
"There's a lot of whispering and chattering going on. It's making it very difficult for me to focus. Please, I know we're all fresh and ready to go, but can we please just keep the chatter to a minimum? It's affecting my ability to focus."
"Thank you, comrade," the chair responded.
But the situation would not end so easily for the approximately 1,500 socialists gathered at the convention.
