Daytona Race Pics

We came to Daytona for the fly by and got to see and do so much. It was a time of a lifetime!!! Totally treated as a rockstar without even asking. The people there were so great at the track, including Dale Jr's and Danika's Crew. Even the track officials and firemen hooked us up.

Hot Laps, National Anthem with Danika's crew, Dale Jr's garage, one of the best days of my life.

The fire truck is the only one outside of NY that survived 9/11. The door with the #3 on it was salvaged from one that was destroyed.



We got to do 3 hot laps in the pace car only made it to 130MPH before the governor kicked in.

Very cool. Daytona is one of the tracks I wanted to do the Richard Petty driving experience on.

A few of us got to go into the garage area. I stopped to take a look at the car with the mustang stuff on it parked next to Dale Jr's car and Dale's crew invited us up to take a closer look at his car.

Inside after pulling the car in.

After talking with some of those guys they invited us out to the pit box before the race.

After the first caution the fireman asked us out to his spot against the wall in pit road.

We got to stay until a the restart and the next few laps.

We put the helmet up there on the rail since that's what we do with the pilots.

The best experience that I had is when we were invited out with Danika's team onto pit road to line up with them for the National Anthem. Just standing there on the first pit looking down at the rest of the teams as the National Anthem played was amazing. Unfortunately it happend so fast that I could hand my camera off to anyone to get pics

The rest of the pics or just from the race. With the weather and the rain delay we didn't get a chance to see the 500 since we were on our way back home. If they would have ran on Sunday I would have had a lot more images.
