Outside of the name, these are entirely different vehicles targeting different buyers. No one is cross-shopping a mach E and a Mustang GT/Darkhorse.
I don’t disagree, the fact still remains an EV that nobody wants ( at least from what I have seen ) outsold a classic American staple .

That’s not something i expected, even with them not being cross-shopped

One had an advertising budget and one didn't.
So a mustang needs to be advertised to compete with an EV?

I will revisit this next year when the new EV charger has been out for a year so we can compare the sales of the EV charger vs the V8 since the EV charger has had advertising out the ass

It's not even advertising... it's the money that manufacturers are using to incentivize purchasing EVs. Heck, not even just the OEMs, the federal government as well.

I understand everything you are saying Nick, and to be honest I shouldn’t have mentioned you.

That post was meant to shed light on what @SSSSSSSSSSSSVT keeps screaming at the wall. When he keeps saying “ what the ppl want “ he is thinking that us car enthusiasts is who is buying the majority of the products .

The majority of ppl buying these new vehicles don’t care about ecoboost or V8.

I almost bought one. Not because I wanted a mache but because the incentives were ridiculous. I imagine a lot of people chose it just because of the deals not because of the vehicle. Its a blender, you just buy the cheapest one that works.

I sold several because the customer had a cheaper payment on a $55k Mach E than they would've a $31k Escape/Bronco Sport.

The only reason that happened is because Ford had massive incentives on the Mach Es.
Is it true dealerships lost money on every Mach E or did big Ford make those sales whole?

I recently seen a 2023 Mach E GT posted in the Ford marked down FB group. It was listed at $45k and the listing dealer said they got it as transfer deal.

Doesn’t count for EV credit or Ford lease incentives.

This car is like a hot potatoe or in my work a sticky booger that gets flung to the next person.

Its true on both accounts. Ford and the dealers lost money.

I know guys who sold 2023 Lightnings and were happy losing $10k.

Not gonna lie I am thinking about leasing it or a Tesla as work trip only deal. Just so freaking cheap.

Depending on the state it'll be titled in, leasing is a GREAT option.

So I recently moved to Arkansas and it's a personal property state. Ouch on my old cars because their appraisal book smokes crack. Keeping my classics just got a lot more expensive. Anyway, how does a lease work in a state like ark?

Curious why? I have never leased a car. Would be in Indiana. Also, I have sometimes travelled further away for my work drive vehicles (usually get a demo/loaner). Do dealers want the lessee to be more local?

Do they require you to pay it in the payment or at the end of the year?

No, we don't care where the buyers are from.

I built a
XLT
PowerBoost
SuperCrew
6.5’ bed
7.4 Kw on board

No other options (couldn’t find the 36 gallon fuel tank)

I believe it was 69K

I just can’t fathom that. I think the same truck with a 5.0 is 60,000

I’ll have to buy used next go around.
