Hi, everybody. We have a 2001 Lightning. We just had the check engine light come on and we got the P0401 code for an EGR problem. After looking into it, we found the supercharger belt wasn't driving the supercharger - The crankshaft extension pulley is shot, allowing the engine to turn without driving the supercharger. Has anyone had this problem before? It is Ford part #6C254. We checked with our local Ford dealership and they searched for one and came up dry. Is there anyone that makes an aftermarket replacement? Does anyone have one, or know where we can find one?

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for getting this lower crank pulley off? We have tried everything we can think of this weekend and it won't budge. We can't get a very long breaker bar on it from above. Maybe we need to run it to a local shop and get it up on a hoist and come at it from below?

It’s reverse thread, if you didn’t already know that. You can also just remove the inspection plate of the transmission, and use a wrench between a converter stud/bolt and the inspection cover bolt to hold the crankshaft while loosening the crankshaft pulley.

I remember reading about people having a hell of a time getting them off. Maybe some heat and if someone has one of these high torque battery impacts you can borrow it might knock it loose, just sucks it's running the wrong direction.
