I have a 2000 mustang gt, when I stop at a light or just stop and I hear my cooling fan kick on my idle drops down then back to normal . If at night time and the fan turns on , not only does the idle drop but my lights go dim then go back normal. Could my coolong fan be going out?

IMHO, it sounds like the Alt. is taking a shit.
Was having the same issue. Alt was replaced and still happened. Upgraded to a higher capacity alt and bam no more problem.
Thanks teufel, I'll try that, where and what kind did you get? I already shelled out like $300 for the one I got now... Alt's arnt cheap!!
