They seem to be having some semi-serious issues with the Tremec DCT 8-speed. Any GT500 guys seeing the same?

The C8 unit is a transaxle design, a lot different than the 7 speed version the GT500 got. Our trans is bolted up right behind the engine like a conventional transmission. The transmission in the last few generation corvettes is NOT behind the engine but bolted to the differential instead. A torque tube connects the engine to this transaxle setup. So its quite possible this is a corvette only issue.

Yes and as soon as I read the C8 DCT shares it’s fluid with the diff then I’d assume that design choice is partially to blame and not connected to the Shelby DCT. But….we will see.
