I have a 67 mustang 289 with a bad coolant leak (Fill coolant multiple times a day). :nonono: I replaced the water pump which needed to be replaced, but the leak is coming from the piece behind the water pump. Some of the water pump bolts go through the water pump and this "spacer looking" piece into the block and the piece also has a couple of its own bolts bolting up to the block. The piece also has channels in it for the coolant to pass through it to and from the block and water pump. What is this part? I need to buy new gaskets for it at minimum and or I would like to replace this piece if possible. Any help would be great. Thanks!

That's your timing chain cover. Check your oil, make sure it's not leaking into your pan. If it is you have bigger problems. But it it's leaking externally your good. Just go to autozone and ask for a timing chain cover set. That'll get you everything you need.
