I'm curious about how u cut off the old bell housing. Do u just chop it off or what is the process?
Also, cudos to u for being different and stepping outside the box. I understand completely.
Yeah I used a 4inch grinder, it was pretty easy to do and literally took 5 mins, then used a belt sander to clean up the edges

Finally got the shifter mounted, now all I need to do is install the trans connect the shifter cable, and measure for the driveshaft..... Here's some pics of the shifter installed.

I had to make a bracket for the shifter to sit due to the hole being to big, also had to cut some of the dash out for the shifter cable to run through (It can't be seen when all assembled).

Thanks man!!.......I don't know if I'm just misinterpreting your comment, but I don't have a shop I wish I did.... I'm just a regular guy trying to do most of the work myself. Lol...... Key word is trying.

Fwiw the C4 would have been just fine. I dont get the people that say they cant handle power. Mine took 650-760 rwhp from 2007 to present with some 9 second times. No issues. Still works.

That being said its about to be swapped to a th400... because im putting an lsx in the Mach 1.

Wait for it....

Have you figured out what your going to do for a vss signal from the 400? Also, the project is coming along very nicely, can't wait to see the finished result.
To be honest with you I'm not sure at this point, I was told I could probably get one from a 4l80e and somehow convert it to work with the car but I guess I'll figure that our when I get that far!!! Lol

Well..... I finally got the transmission in the car, with the help of a couple buddies, and got the shifter cable in and adjusted.

Is your trans mount on backwards? Not sure if it matters.
I got the bracket from jpc and they said I can use the stock trans mount and I had to put upside down for it to work I was meaning to contact them and ask if that's how it goes but maybe I might get a response from this post. Lol

Yea we tried it the "correct" way, and it was nowhere near lining up. I meant to text you Dil and ask how you got it to work because Ed told me he texted you later that day and you said you and wreck it got it to work. Looks great!
