do I need a tune after installing a circle d 3c?
I also want to have the exedy stage 2 trans upgrade at the same time.

my goals are to go as fast/quick as possible with the stock tune. hoping for low 12's high 11's.
so will sticky tires, converter and the exedy get me there?

just slowly building it.
I will eventually end up with a jpc turbo kit.
just want to get the supporting mods put on and drive it.

A tune (AED) should be your 1st mod anyway. With anything other than stock, it's a no-brainer, tune it. You will be amazed at the performance increase, especially with it being an auto!!

Depends on who tuned it, we always tune the autos for the ability to drop a converter in without a retune.

I have clutch packs and shafts in stock as well.

Shafts aren't needed at that power level though

You're better off getting the tune. Probably easiest and best gains for the money. The tune updates aren't expensive when needed. Without the tune, you won't get much benefit from your upgrades. The Auto does shift much better tuned. You may not think the shifts are sluggish stock, but after the tune, you'll notice.

You can put your car in the 11's with just a tune and some skinnies and drag radials, that's a lot cheaper than the converter. It should run high 12's right now bone stock.
