Condensation/water in the clothes dryer. WTF?

The drum is cool in the house and the exterior vent flap is not closing all the way allowing Africa hot humid air in which is forming condensation on the cool drum.
Leave it to meteorologist :D

The dryer is new, and under warranty, so why not just call and have someone come out and check out the dryer. That would hopefully at least rule out the dryer. Then you can focus on the venting system.

Update: The maintenance guy came out on Tuesday. He took a shop vac, used it as a blower, and cleaned out the vent line. He swore up and down he didn't think there was anything in there clogging things up. Yet, since he left......no condensation.

I'll admit we haven't had any 95-degree, 75% humidity days since then, either. But, if I recall correctly, it was doing it even before that stupid hot week. I'm cautiously optimistic the issue is resolved. Now, about these ants that showed up today....
