Why, regardless of topic do people include the color of their car? Someone asks an engine question and in doing so mentions the color of their car. Is there a reason for this that I am unaware of? This seems to be a "Mach 1" thing.

BTW, asking for a friend. :)

I have noticed this too. Seems like a Mach 1 and also a Terminator thing. I feel like it's simply due to people wanting to notify others of what they have. Not too sure why though, as you mentioned, it occurs in completely irrelevant situations where it has no impact on the situation/question at hand.

If it's a regular transportation car, mass production, color doesn't mean a whole lot to me.
Special cars, like Mach's & Terminator's, to me anyway color is more important. It's an important part of the description.
Heck I don't know.. What color is your car?

IMO, color is not important when asking which headers one should install or which gears are best.

Haha, that's not even an opinion. It's a fact.
No one needs to know what color your car is to tell you why you've lost 3 MPG since your last fill up.
