Hello. Just wanted to share some info for anyone interested in a wider rear wheel and tire but want to keep stock look. I ordered 2 replica cobra wheels which were 8.5" wide with 5.77 backspace and sent them to weldcraft wheels to be widenew 1.5" to a 17x10. This left me with 7.25 backspace. 3/4" more than a regular 17x10 pony wheel for a regular drum brake car. I'm very pleased with the setup. I still have about 1/4" to spare on inner fender and tires almost apear factory from sides. No hanging out at all. Fenders are not rolled, only quad shocks removed and e brake cable bracket moved to front swat bar hole running a 285-40-17. Check it out.......

Tell me about it. I have a nitto drag radial 275/40 on my oem cobra Wheels. Not a horrible bulge but would still prefer a wider wheel. a1c812d77a9103d2dfe661faef33d8ce.jpg d3fb4c484e4a474b0eee886d2a2b7ff9.jpg

Man that car is perfect. Wheels look new. That's the same size that were on rear of mine. I saved those just so I would have originals. It's crazy how much the 285 fills it out spaced correctly undercar.

Nice! Ran Nitto drags 275/40 on mine as well. Little too much bulge and roll. Just put a new set of 245/45 Nitto 555g2’s on. They are excellent.

OK I have a quick question. What is the trick to load more pics. Everytime I try it says files too big. It only let me load first 2.

Would you happen to have any pics from the rear or down the side of the car. I'm looking to do the same thing and would like to see where the wheel sits in relation to the fender, meaning is it "flush" or is it sunken in? Also what did this roughly cost from Weldcraft?

    Thanks,

Here is one from side. They appear factory with a 285-40-17. Don't hang out at all. Weldcraft charges like 500$ with return shipping and 2 wheels .
