Cobra Engine Swap in 03 Auto Mach!

Hey guys looking for some tips along the way here as I'm a ls guy and this is a totally new venture for me! My mach was pretty much a stock car with 150 shot, tune and H pipe till last week when a rod decided to propel thru the block! Car ran 11.50@117 on the old setup although. A good friend of mine (fomoco08) came to the rescue and sold me his 04 Engine from a wrecked cobra he had so here I am!

I know I have to extend some wires (iat, alt etc) and find a 8 bolt flexplate.
Plans for the new engine are just 2.76 pulley and the longtubes I had already on the car unless I have enough left over for the blower port. I need to work on the fuel system as now the car just has a aem 320lph drop in since I plan to spray it again with a little.

Always wanted a termi now I guess I'll be building one out of my mach :banana:
I'll keep updating this thread along the way. And again any tips are very appreciated!!!

Thanks man, been kind of tough finding info and getting help on this wouldn't think it would be with it being a mustang!
I'm kind of figuring things out on my own and I have a couple buddies helping since I haven't got much assistance online but will try to post all progress to hopefully help other.

when I swapped a full cobra swap in I just used the Cobra ECU and Cobra harness. Used the fuse box from it too. buuuuut then I sold it after I swapped it in :lol1::lol1:

Good luck with it. def a fun project.

I would have used the cobra harness/ecu but in my case being a automatic it would be a lot simpler just extending my iat harness, map, and egr stuff. Im following all the eaton swap threads on auto mach's.

I used the flexplate from the Navigator. the transmission guy said the truck had 2 different flexplates but one fit my FTI converter and the 8 bolt crank.

Very interested I to have an auto Mach 1 and most of o4 cobra motor collecting parts at this point

Are you guys interested in selling the yellow mirrors off the cobra

Sorry for not following up lately guys! Weathers been tough on me in this area and from these pics you'll be able to tell I don't have a lot to work with!!! Got the engine in, need to do small things, route the harness some more, hook up exhaust and now swap out the blowers and after a tune it'll be running again. Heres some update pics ill get better ones tomorrow weather permitting!!!
