Anybody ever remove the black paint from their emblems? I have a black term and I think it may be a nice "accent".

i removed the black paint from a GT emblem I had. Looked good. Get some pics and post 'em

Not sure theres enough black paint to remove to make it noticeably different...

The cobra emblems have black paint on them, to bring out detail. I was wondering if anyone had removed the paint and what they used to remove it. Kinda like acetoned powerstroke emblems or lightning emblems.

if its their to bring out the detail then why would you want to try to remove it everything is going to just kinda soup together

I did this one mine, but only to prep them for painting MG. They looked pretty good. i should have taken some pictures of it.

I would recommend that if you live near anyplace that sells them, just go buy one and try it to see if you like it. Heck they are only about $10.
