Hey everybody, i think its time i need a new clutch possibly. I am wondering whats the best i could get, i have heard spec clutches are real good, but also centerforce. Just wondering what you all suggest.

Alot depends on what mods you have done and what kind of pedal effort you prefer. On a daily driver/occasional drag race I would go with the FMS King Cobra Clutch if you like a light/low effort clutch and if you like the a stiffer/heavier pedal effort go with the regular FMS heavy duty clutch. The Centerforce dual friction clutch is more expensive but seems to hold higher hp and still retain a light pedal effort.

I have used all 3 clutches w/o any problems. They were used in daily drivers that I drag raced every weekend on slicks and never had one let go on me.

Thumbs up for the Centerforce Dual Friction. My friends used them on several Fox body cars up here with no problems. King Cobra is a good clutch for stock replacement though, they just don't hold much HP more than stock.

No votes for the SPEC Stage 3 Clutch Kit #SF483 w/ aluminum flywheel?
