So the clutch finally went in my 04 Cobra, and I need some recommendations on the best Flywheel/clutch/TOB combo that would be best for what I use the car for. I had some nightmares with my 99 Cobra using different manufacturers for some of those parts. I also had issues with using a non-Ford TOB, which Maximum Motorsports told me was a bad idea. I bought this car about 30k miles ago and I've never removed the inspection cover to see what combo is in it, but I've assumed it's the original setup because it feels stock and it still has the stock auto-adjusting quadrant. The car has 101k on it now. It just has bolt-ons (mods are in my sig) so the drivetrain is stock and I'm putting down 472 rwhp. I don't have any plans to go further than that, it's just a fun street car for me to enjoy and I want to make it last. I had to mess a lot with the clutch issues in my 99 and it sucked so I just want a clutch that will last the longest and put the power down. Help me fill in the gaps: Flywheel = ? (is there a replaceable surface on the stock aluminum ones? If so, is that a good idea?) Clutch = ? (I've used Mcleod in the past but wasn't impressed) TOB = Ford OEM, unless there's something better? Pilot Bearing = Ford OEM Also, I don't intend to get a manual quadrant, the stock one is fine for what I do. Thanks, Dan
