Cleaning the motor

Hey fellow SVT'ers...I've got an 03' Cobra Vert, I bought it brand new and it's now time (I've got 7K miles now) to get seriously ready for spring cleaning...

So, I want to clean the engine area...couple of questions for you more experienced "detailers":
-What cleaners have you used that works best
-I've got a Steeda CAI kit, other than that no other engine mods so what needs to be covered up (so that water doens't affect anything) while i'm hosing down the engine.?
-Any wiring/plugs/harnesses to be careful of?
-Lastly, I'm going to do a full purchase of engine dress up, what other places besides UPR, MGW, SHM and Steeda would you all recommend?

Try 303 Aerospace cleaner.
