Thought the first episode was kind of dry but I think it will get better.

So anyone know how accurate it is? I design nuclear safety systems for a living and of course in all our training this is one of the ones that always comes up.

Monday's 9pm.. Its amazing to see what radiation does to a person. Its unbelievable. First episode was incredible. The power of the explosion felt from the women's house was a wow experience!!!

The cover up and ignorance was also a WTF moment..

First episode didn’t get into too much detail of what the actual cause was. It was centered on the explosion, immediate aftermath, and ensuing confusion. Plenty of back and forth with “it’s not that bad/yes it is”; “keep the core covered/there is no core.”

As I mentioned in another thread; I already had issues with the trailer, but I enjoyed the first episode. Giving them enough rope to hang themselves with so to speak.

As a disclaimer, I operated/maintained nuclear reactors for over 20 years.

The 'Elephants Foot' under the reactor was the most radioactive place on Earth for a while.

Not retaliated to Chernobyl but what radiation can do to the human body. Caution, there are a couple gruesome photos in that link.
