Sunday April 17 in Peoria we will have a car show at Hooters with access to all three lots. Route of cruise is still undetermined yet. I am looking to have two best SVT plaques made. One voted on by drivers and the other voted on by Hooters employees. We will also be having a best performance Ford plaque made for all non svt performance Fords voted on by all drivers. Lets make it big!!
Itinerary
8:30am sharp: Leaving Springfield for Peoria (This will put us a little early but give time for me to talk with the manager of Hooters and get organized) I ask everyone else not cruising in my group to arrive at 10:00ish
11:00 am – Registration
Each participant will be assigned a car number and you will be given a voter’s card.
11:00 am – 12:00 pm – Show and Shine (Meet and Greet)
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – Mustang Engine Tuning Controls Overview
by Brian Young
Brian Young, a former Ford Mustang Engine Calibration Engineer, will give an overview of the powertrain controls logic that operates our engines. He will describe how the code logic works and will specifically hit on the “Big 3” – induction (air meter), fuel system, and spark control systems. Practical tuning examples of the ramifications of changing hardware and what are the correct methods to “tune” the controls to provide optimal operation and OEM drive quality will also be given. He will then give a demo of some calibration tools and hardware used to tune. Brian is widely known on Svtperformance.com as sonicmach1. You can find him at his 2003 Redfire Cobra (VENOM).
