Tonight on the way home from the movies, the XR7 had its first street battle. Its bone stock with 91k on the clock. Worn rear end bushings.
Cruising down a two lane road I was next to a black 5.0 Vert with turbine wheels and didn't think nothing of it. Then he gets on it next to me, took me a while to figure out fi I wante dto get on it too. There was a curve ahead...ah what the heck. The we get to a red light and went from there. So, I bring the RPMS up to about 1700 and the turned. There was some wheel spin and some bog from me...and he just hooked and went...he had a bout a car on me from the launch, but then I was slowly reeling him in. When second hit...I kept pulling, but once that happened it was time toshut down...got beat by 1/2 a fender.. Once I learn how to launch it..I should be able to take him.....supposedly it ran a 14.6 last spring...
