Any thoughts? The car feels like it's moving back and forth when I'm driving straight at 60 mph and when I turn its more noticeable.
Thanks

First step is visual inspection.

Get it up on stands so the suspension is unloaded.

This could be anything: bent wheel, loose wheel, wheel bearings, worn bushings, loose bolts.

Heck a separate tire can do this. That’s when the tread separates from the case of the tire. You can see it if you look at the tread and spin the tire; it’ll look like it’s wobbling.

That will show up by grabbing the wheel/tire and rocking it side to side.

The bearings yes. The half shaft nuts being loose not always.

I just went through this with both my knuckles. Both were below minimum tq, the wheel had zero play. When I pulled them apart both hubs were trash and had been walking inside the bearing.

I only figured it all out because I thought I had a bad outside half shaft boot. While pulling everything apart I discovered one bad knuckle bearing so I dug into the other side and found the same issues minus the bearing puking.

Front of sub frame bolts.

Should be 9/16 bolt.

Easy way to find out if yours were done.

Wrench size to use.

Oem 15mm and 18 mm

I had a similar feeling in my old Terminator. A weird feeling like the rear of the car is sliding around but not the tires on the road.

Tightened up the half shaft nuts and it cleaned right up. Mine were not finger loose, but loose enough where it resulted in weirdness. Mine were probably around 50-75 ft-lbs, and they need to be a lot tighter (but I can't remember the torque value... 250 maybe?).

I suggest buying some Nylocks and putting those on if you find your's are a bit low on toque. They'll loosen up again and again until you get some locking nuts on there.
