Cam regrind how much extra lift and duration?

I haven't heard of anyone doing it on our cars. Regrinds are typically only used when billet cores are not available, such as on a rare or unusual engine. Also, you can't just toss reground cams in and send it. The cams have a smaller base circle so you need shims for the adjusters and lash caps for the valves, in multiple thicknesses to set the proper lash on each valve.

I think when these engines first came out regrinds were popular. But nowadays there are enough choices out there that it makes regrinding pointless.
