A 14 year old Christian girl living in the outskirts of Islamabad, Pakistan was accused by a local imam of desecrating pages of the Koran. Arrested amidst an angry mob of peaceful Muslims calling for her burning alive, the girl was taken into custody and placed in a maximum-security jail where she awaits trial for blasphemy, which is to take place in approximately 24 hours. The girl's mother claims her daughter is mentally disabled and is often not in control of her own actions, a condition that has been confirmed by doctors. Not surprisingly, a conviction of blasphemy charges carries a swift death sentence.
