Born and raised Brockton. Living in Naples.
C&D got:

0-60 in 2.2
0-100 in 4.5
0-150 in 9.7
1/4 in 9.5 @149 (done on a side rode)
and 0-200 in 23.8

It's making some serious power for sure

lol insane for a car not focused on straight line acceleration!
What other street legal car for under $200k even comes close?
Is even in the same ball park?
No, it’s game ovah. GM wins.

The 1963 split window coupe was a thing of beauty. The C8 split window ZR1 does look pure exotic, by comparison. The top dog 1963 engine was a 327 making a lofty 360hp (big power back then). All of the (street) '63s had a 327 with various power levels. This was before the introduction of the 396 big block making 425hp. As raw as the '63 is compared to the C8, I'd rather have the top dog 365hp '63 split window coupe for pure driving fun (with the 4-speed) with a punch of raw adrenalin.

The ZR1 is still king, period... but I think if I had to order something today, I'd choose the Z06 just because I'm a NA fan, and a ZR1 would land me in Jail in 2 seconds.

Just for perspective, when C&D tested the Z06:
0-60 3.1
0-100 6.1
0-150 16.3
1/4 10.7 @ 129
0-170 27.7
Wow. Beastly.
most of the cars on the road don't even do 0- 60 in 6 seconds. The ZR1 does 100 mph in 6 seconds. LOL

It’s a real piece of kit! Exceptional value.

Plaid S performance is $125k and goes faster. More practical daily, terribly quiet exhaust note though.

Someone asked what comes close for $200k.

Smart assing aside, I like it a lot. Very impressed. I’d like to see what it does with tune, down pipe dumps, turbo inducer wheel swaps and some e90

I think in stock form it has a sub 6:50 ring time at its disposal. Great job team Chevy and team zr1, you guys are rockstars

Will order one before they stop making them.
Have to use my grandfather’s discount in the best way possible :)
Serious question though has Chevy said how many years they plan on building them?
And there’s supposed to be the Zora which I’m guessing is this plus Eray front axle and more tricks?
This car is absolutely impressive.
Let’s see how much the tuners can get out of them!

Cleetus and the freedom factory did an incredible infotainment vid on it.

The engineers on this team are awesome. The electric waste gate and boost control system is so sick. 76/67 right off the header fed straight to the intake, with the heads being functionally asymmetric to create perfect exhaust pulses for optimal efficiency. I think there is less than a foot of total hot and cold side plumbing. And the system keeping boost from about 20-24psi off throttle, the 17 different coolers.

7 drysumo baffles, this is a $250,000 engine in a $175,000 car.

Lots of other YouTubers drove and talked about it, but Cleetus and George talking with Derrick was the best I’ve seen about the zr1.
