C6 Z06 VS Whipple SS camaro

A friend of mine called me up with his 2.9L Whipple SS Camaro wanting to run. I went to his place and he was ready. There were a few people there holding camcorders ready to watch and record. I already had a passenger (female friend of mine who lacked photography/filming skills)
The camaro driver had a passenger filming in HD (waiting for his video footage). This is just a video of what happened from my car so bare with me.

First race was from a 40mph roll. He had a car length head-start and we went on the 3rd honk.
Second race was from a dig. We sort of had traction issues. I'm on runflats and he's on nitto street tires!
He plays ball for the New England Patriots and used to play for LSU, which is why he lives near me.

His mods are:
2.9L whipple supercharger, LG blower cam setup, LG longtube headers - full exhaust, full BMR race suspension, #stall, converter, gears, auto, hp tuners, etc.


My C6 Z06 is cam'd, stg 2 ported intake manifold, full exhaust, hp tuners, etc

530rwhp with it tuned down (after break-in, oil change, etc). It was also 109 degrees during the dyno pull in the room. I added a different upper intake manifold and tb. It has been retuned for drivability and idle. It definitely picked up some power after that. With everything cooled down like it has been during this time of year (or closer to winter when its even cooler) I would comfortably say its around 550-560rwhp with the new tune and additional mods.
I figure this upper intake added around 12-15rwhp, tb is good for 2-3rwhp and retune might have picked up a few more...+6-8ish? idk.

The Z sounds killer and nice shifting too

Thanks man, I love the sound. Those are the newer stock Z06 style mufflers with LG longtubes/Xpipe no cats. It does sound great! Best part about it is that I can open and close them at my convenience to quiet that sucker up still. ;-)

Yeah, he drove my car and a Zr1 and decided to buy that SS. He might be buying a vette soon though, not entirely sure but he does have future plans to start another project. :burnout:

Yeah Im a spelling idiot lol. But didnt you know that his car owns 2x faster cars daily?? That means by default that all of us, no matter what we have will be be slower.....lol Im being sarcastic btw. Your Z06 is my wet dream. I had a C6 with an A&A, but had to sell for a car with rear seats, you know why..... No matter, atleast I got to keep some sort of sports car. But had to get the minivan though.........DOH! Great vid and cars. Just be careful of Zyborg....LOLOLOL
