Buying a PC #7424....What else do I need?

What other pads or backing would I need? What are these backings and what do they do besides add a good circumference area? Thanks

PC 7424 Pads

Go to http:/www.autopia.org and research how to use a buffer. They will give you tons of information. I bought the Sonus pads that they carry. I have the orange, green, blue and black pads. They are progressively less dense foam that needs to be matched with the products that you want to use.
