Oh man I'd be pissed as hell if that was my truck and everyone was laughing....

meh, it was more than likely already totalled anyways. but i guess that just goes to show you what happens when you apply stress in a direction that the frame isn't designed for.

My pops has an 06 silverado with 42k on it and the truck is like brand new with the exception that the frame rot is unreal. Not to mention it is a garaged truck...it's an embarassment for GM. The heat shields on the manifolds are so rusted that if you flick it, chunks of rusted metal just fall off. I've never seen anything like it....It's acceptable for a truck that's 10-15+ years old and has been neglected, but not a 5 year old garaged vehicle.
