I like these Raybestos R-300 rotors and I bought some Dynamic Friction pads and the brakes work incredible for stock. Can easily slow down from 170+ mph speeds without severe brake fade. Inspect your rotors carefully and if there are any signs of warping or cracking, they should be replaced.

You know I always passed the raybestos up because I thought they were along the lines of duralast as the raybestos are carried at autozones.
Guess that’s my fault, but I thought the wavy slots were cool looking compared to the normal slots.

There was a guy who made custom patterned rotors up in norcal but he passed and I don’t believe his company will come back. Really cool designs and were supposedly highly effective.

I also cracked a a rotor before but it was a single crack on only one face.

I guess i'm just not with the times ... in the past everything I ordered pretty much shipped right away.

It got to the point where I started calling before ordering anything to ask if it was actually in stock because apparently its too difficult to indicated if something is in stock or not on the website like LMR does. But they will gladly take your money then after weeks of wondering where your item is you call and ask and they tell you...oh yeah that's on back order it will ship maybe possibly most likely in 6- 8 weeks. Then their shipping rates became atrocious and I completely stopped ordering anything through them unless it's an absolute last resort which I have not encountered yet.

Lethal never has anything in stock
Not defending them by any means, but you cannot expect businesses to stock parts for a 20+ year old cars. They are not making money on them. They are storing parts and making money on the new cars. Coyotes…. What every young twerp and their mother has. Your expectations need to be realistic. It’s happening more and more as these cars get older and older.

LMR and NPD has plenty of "20+ year old" parts in stock. If it's their choice to not stock that stuff anymore they would be better suited to take it off their site. Its just bad business to not label anything as in stock or take your money even when its not. Which is why they no longer get mine.

I did get the Powerstops from Lethal. I think I had them within a week. I had to bend the tabs on the fronts to get them to fit. Rears were no issue. I did not do anything with the rotors as they seemed to be fine. I believe the pads I removed from mine were the originals at 24k mi. Performance seems good. No complaints here.

Speaking of pads/rotors, is there a shelf life to them in general? Do old pads produce more dust than fresh ones?

What particular setup did you go with?
I ran the Z17 and Z23’s in stock calipers with there rotors. I didn’t notice any difference between them.

Currently I’m running the Z23’s in my XTS and Taurus calipers. No complaints. Fairly low dust, and they stop great.

Wouldn’t think so. Rotors are fine sitting on a shelf as long as they are not rusting. I don’t see ceramic pads breaking down, maybe organic pads but even then I doubt it.

I have some surface corrosion from sitting this winter and occasionally using the garage heater. May be it. Gonna drive it a bit and see how the dust is. Thanks for the reply!

I went with the Power Stops, front and rear from Lethal. The only issue was I had to slightly bend the retention springs on the front pads to get them on. Turning the rear pistons were a challenge, but I think mine were original. I did not turn the rotors.

Hey everyone. Mine is soon to be back on the road after being down for 4yrs. I will need to replace my stock original front pads pretty soon. For the stock brake set up I am curious to see what folks here are using. I see Hawk pads at several of the sites. Also see packages including slotted rotors. Is the rotor upgrade worth it? I was not planning to do any major brake upgrades yet. Thanks for any info.
I had rotorpros, the cross drill and slotted rotors with pads all the around on mine. They worked great. I still have the rears, Wilwood up front now. The rotorpros put on 15 years ago maybe. Great company. I saw where they’re on Instagram.

Much appreciated on the feedback. Thank you.
