Thanks all. Definitely a ridiculous project. I'll have more into this than just buying a clean one. But, I have plans. There's an On3 Turbo kit sitting in the mud room. Going to refresh the engine first. It's actually healthy, with good, even compression. But I can hear the timing chains clatter on start-up. $3,580 with shipping. I think the car alone was $2,800. Had money to burn and bought it based on pictures. Some of my fondest memories were driving my buddies 2004 Mustang GT in high school and drooling over his dad's 1998 Mustang Cobra (and I had my 2004 Cobra then). Just really love these cars, and I have always wanted a convertible. My girlfriend and I have a good time going to the local drive-in theater in it, and we're planning on going to Fredericksburg once I have the suspension back in. Here's a picture from the auction listing. Ya... the frame was all bent. I was very happy with MPS Auto Salvage, I bought a whole top with frame etc. for around $500, and it only took a few hours to swap them. The picture I posted was after I did a ton of work. Mine was missing nuts, a lot of the bushings had collapsed such that their sleeves were off-center, etc. It was so bad, it drove me to drink. Just enough to replace the factory stuff. They are TMI seats. I got them because they match the interior perfectly. I had some Cypher seats initially, but the mismatch drove me insane.
