Are the heads a different casting #? or is there port work done? Both intake AND exhaust cams different?

So far from the read the HEADS, valves springs and EXHAUST cams are the main differences.

Wow! I did not know this until just now.

"Cast from a different aluminum alloy and changed in almost every respect, the Boss 302 cylinder head is definitely a Coyote descendent, but still its own animal. While it still passes as a bolt-on replacement for a Coyote head, the finished Boss casting is stronger and worth about 10 hp more than a Coyote, thanks in part to CNC porting and a larger exhaust valve."

The crank I believe is the same, might be different just for the balance factor. The pistons are Mahle forged, the rods are still a powdered metal rod but a different, stronger alloy.
The heads are made of a different aluminum alloy and CNC ported. The valves are hollow intake, sodium filled exhaust and the exhaust valves are 1 mm larger at the seat. Same intake camshaft, the exhaust has the same duration but 1mm more lift. Different valve springs too.

I believe the castings are the same but they are definitely CNC ported in addition to the other differences mentioned.

Wrong. Different casting. Take the 15 minutes to read the article I linked to that highlights every difference in detail.

Key differences:

Intake mani
Heads
Exhaust cams
Valves
Valve springs
Pistons
Con rod material
Crank bearing material
No oil squirters
Oil cooler
Flywheel
Dampers
Springs
Swaybars
Differential
