I have a grabber green 13 with 8500 miles and have had it for 9 years. Yes I know I know What a waste. But I have a few others. I've gotten into road racing and want to set up the boss for track use. Has to be street as well. The car is bone stock. Suspension I'm looking into lowering springs, LCA's, UCA, adjustable panhard bar and camber plates. Brake pads, new clutch and some minor power mods ( headers CAI and a tune. Is there anything else I am missing or what other guys that track the car and what set up. Thank you

If your just starting out I would start with better pads and brake fluid and track alignment. Then get yourself strapped in the seat a little better with a harness and the supporting safety equipment. Then I would take the car to the track and see how you like it. I’ve threw a bunch of suspension parts at a car and it changed it so much and I didn’t like it as much. I’m not a good driver setting any great lap times but, I like to road course my cars and have done so for years and just feeling secure in the car goes a long way towards your fun. If you start on the suspension you should talk with one of the companies and stick with them (steeda, cortex…) they can help you keep the car balanced so you don’t end up with a loose car. Tires are also high on the list they make a huge difference. Have fun and watch your gas level on track day it goes very fast, it’s easy to not even look at the gas gauge when having so much fun. Then on your third run you are running out of gas

Honestly you should get 1st a good set of track tires and show up for an event. At the event, I’d be upfront and honest with fellow competitors as you’ll get a flood of on-track advice of setups. If there’s is a track specialist or pro and you feel comfortable. Have them drive and you ride along for a hot lap.

Throwing in parts because it’s something everyone on the internet says isn’t truly the way to go about these things.

Besides tires, as someone mentioned new pads would be good. If you’re itching to install something add brake ducting to help reduced brake fade and keep you competitive. As for a pads go, I’d say Carbotech pads.

I would back you on the caster camber plates to get your alignment better but until you start modification, it’s unneeded.

As far as going forth after tires, braking, track time, I’d recommend skipping the springs and straight to a coil over setup.

I’d also go right to a Watts link setup it’s far superior and if you get really into RR probably end up going that way anyways.

Get yourself a set of front and rear adjustable sway bars too. Along with new Ball Joints & Bumpsteer Kit.

See where you’re at then again and if needed, reloc and rear LCA's.

Thanks you guys for the advice. I'll be running at a local track Harris Hill in San Marcos tx. But I'm itching to run COTA in Austin. Yes I will start with pads and tires as well as safety equipment. I usually run the 20 gt500 but I want to row the gears, so the boss is the car I want to run at the track. Really appreciate the advice. Thanks again.

My advice is these mods, in this order:

Brake Ducts
Kitty Litter Scoop / Trans Cooler
18x10's with 285's
FR P Springs
Koni Yellows

That's it. I put a watts link on my car and regretted it. Too much noise for not enough benefit if you've done the above.
