I used rubber undercoating on mine. Same thing I guess. The stock coating burned off from welding in the roll bar supports.

I used the same thing, works great and was really easy, touch up is simple too

He sold the car and I doubt he will respond. Im sure it held up fine. I plan to do something similar this winter…
