i remember when i was active duty, with all the uniform changes, my 1sg saying if the ruck was black with no tags (logos or brands) that you could wear it with your NSN stuff...is this still true?

Yep, same goes with camel backs, assault packs, etc.

Yeah, another thing too, some post policies require that if bags have two straps, you must use both of them not just one. Ft. Lewis was like that. Pretty stupid but w/e
