Okay everyone, You guys know that with my OCD I can't leave well enough alone LOL. When I first had this car painted I asked my painter to install Shelby side stripes, but to make them G.T. 347. I did not specify anything else so that's what I got. I originally really liked them and was more than happy with the results. Now that I have to change them to G.T. 427 I want something a little more original looking. Initially I found a graphics shop and provided the measurements off my fenders using the G.T. 347 graphic and, again, I got what I asked for. I posted pictures of that graphic here already. However, the more I looked at it the less happy I was with it. The font is just a little off and the graphic is just not thick enough. When you look at the spacing there is too much space between the T and 427. So, I ordered the original G.T. 350 graphic from a place called Tony Branda's. Now, if you know Tony Branda he makes a lot of the replacement parts for the Shelby G.T. 350 cars. Once I received the original G.T. 350 graphic I took it to my graphics shop and this is the result. Here you can clearly see the difference between the one I asked for and the original. Now, the one in the middle will be going on the car and will match the original font, spacing and measurements. Now, it is longer, but the height is actually the same (2 1/8 inch). Can't wait to get the new graphic on the fender. Here is how it is now for comparison. The middle stripe at the back of the 7 will go away to compensate for the longer graphic. This is how it is on the original 65 G.T. 350 side stripe. In 66 they went to a different measurement.
