Okay everyone.... Here we go................. It was the best weekend of this build to date. EVERYTHING worked out exactly as I had hoped. So, on Friday I left work early and got to work on the firewall. I needed to get it done so the entire engine bay would be prepped and ready for whatever my body guy would need to do as it would be back to a base primer coat. Here is the firewall after initial blocking. I'm not focusing too much on the trans tunnel as you will not really see it. Here I added the glazing putty. I even put some glazing putty on the bottom to even it up a little. Here it is after final sanding. Even the bottom looks decent. Okay, had to spray etching primer where I went to bare metal. And here it is back in 2K primer. Man it looks straight :D. In these photos you will notice a slight space between the metal where the firewall meets the fender aprons. This area is not seam welded from the factory and I did not body work it as it will flex and crack. I'll explain what my body guy did to make this look better a little later. Space is even more prominent on the passenger side. But other than that I think it looks great.
