After seeing the shifter and pedals in the car I wanted to see how it felt. So, I reinstalled my driver's seat and tested it out. Man, It is AWESOME having a 5 speed in my 65 Mustang. Feels like it should have been this way from the day it was manufactured LOL. After I finished all my jobs for the weekend I wanted to add a finishing touch. So, I installed the 427/Shelby badge on my glove box door. I'm digging it. This exact badge will go on the taillight panel at the end of the build. I sent pictures to my buddy from high school and he said I needed a skull shifter. little did he know I had one on hand LOL. So, I went outside and mocked it up. My wife asked me what I was doing and when I told her she said to take it off because it makes it look like a clown car LMAO!!! I sent these pictures to my buddy and told him what my wife said and he replied "well, it is a Ford." LOL. He's a Chevy guy, obviously. I'm keeping the white Hurst shifter ball. I like it better and it fits the style I'm going for anyway. Had a good laugh with this skull though.
