[QUOTE="Black Gold 380R, post: 16938102, member: 70025"] Hello Everyone, Well, I keep working on the 57 just about every weekend. I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos on carburation and how it relates to timing (Have gotten too used to the computer taking care of all that LMAO). Well, it seems I may have gotten it figured out. I removed my carburetor and gave it a base tune (i.e. configuration). Got my butterflies set properly, got my air/idle bleed screws set, made sure accelerator pump cam was set and my idle set screw properly adjusted. Then I set the carb back on the manifold. I fired it up and used my timing light to dial in my timing and set my desired RPM. I also used my vacuum gauge to set my air/idle bleed screws to the highest level vacuum I could obtain. I also made sure my floats were set properly. Car is running like a swiss watch now. Now when I put the car in gear the idle does not drop off like it used to. When I step on the go fast peddle the car moves out instead of stumbles. The car runs at a consistent 185 degrees. I'm VERY happy with it now. Have a few more small bugs to work out (i.e. A/C and fuel gauge). So, Saturday night I took it for a cruise. I went by the guys house who has the Texaco Station on his property. He happened to be home and told me to take all the pictures I wanted. This time it was in the evening and he had the Texaco Station all lit up. It was great. I'm no professional, but here are some pictures I took. I'm thinking about having one made into a poster for mounting on my garage wall......
