This engine did "Run On" when the ignition was shut off and I could never get it to stop doing that even after a tune up and timing adjustments. The engine water passages were blocked some. So, the heads may have been hot spotting. Now that the heads have been completed and the block cleaned up a bit I hope it goes away and cools properly.
