I can’t comment on anyone putting them through their paces in hardcore track use but I’m leaning towards an upgrade from Reaper Brakes. He’s got a page on FB or Reaper_Brakes on IG.
I’ve talked to several people running them on the street and they’re all happy for whatever that’s worth. He’s local to me, stand up guy
How much for the fronts and can do the rears keep the parking brake??? I dont use social media and needed a log in to dig into their FB.

his pricing is kinda scattered around the IG page, I asked him to send me a chart/list with pricing and I'll post it. The rear brake kit does have an add on E-brake using the factory cable

I took a look at his kits and I dont understand how that E-brake setup works? Looks badass though.

I considered a electric parking brake similar to the newer ford vehicles. Wilwood makes a kit but I’d have to fab up a bracket. Those reaper brakes may be a great alternative if they are as good as they look. Brake man is also a good option that I have heard of, some of the drift new edge guys use them.

Interesting, the reaper brakes look like Baer 6p calipers and wilwood 2piece rotors. Wonder if these are from Baer or a China knock off? They do look nice and a fantastic price. Plus a nice rear brake setup.

I just went through all this last year picking brakes and wheels. Hopefully this helps someone

As for wheels
Take a look at this picture 18s left and 19s on the right. This helped me decided to go 19 against what everyone say!!!! Lol

In my opinion.. Again the right wheel 19s look great. Not all 19s look bad. .

I have seen tf Chicane in 19 on new edge and the were hideous. But 18s were probably the nicest wheel for our cars. If Steve didn't stop making them I would have them on my car.

As for brakes
If your doing big brakes and are thinking brembo 6p 14 then you need 19s. To make them fit. They have been outta stock for a while.... And basically left me with no lip up front since they are huge!!! I wanted. A lip so this were out.

The brembo 14 - 4 piston isn't avaible anymore from ftbr. Which is what most people had. They sell a gt 4p kit but it's 3500 dollars. But will fit under 18 or 19 with a custom wheel. It sticks out far as well... Which means a custom wheel.

Bear 13 fit basically any wheel and the extreme caliper is a tad wider but not much. It's a very well thought out system and is in a nice package.
If I had my other phone I would show you with pictures. That they are not small caliper and it mounts well under the wheel.

Wildwood makes a 14 inch kit but it's basically the 13 inch with a larger rotor. The pad is super small compared to brembo or bear. IThe brembo 6p is the largest pad then the bear extreme is next.
Wildwood has a rear caliper option though which is a plus thou pricey from a company called tcf??? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Stoptech I looked at as well but they only had a 4 piston set up.

I wanted a 6p idk why but I did. With the e85 and making over 700 I wanted the best brakes I could get. No one has the brembo 6p gt kit on their car I could find and they areway overkill and would make my wheels not look as great. So I went with baer.

The bear extreme stop hard! And have no fade. Definitely worth the upgrade. I feel safer driving the car Now which was the hope. Lotta money invested in this car from myself and the prior owner. I felt brakes wheels and tires help protect it.
And good insurance. Obviously

Good luck with your choice. Keep us posted

Anyone running big Brakes On our cars? I'm currently looking for wheels and almost forgot that I want to be able to run a BBK set up. For those of you that know, what is something to keep in mind when sourcing wheels? Backspace? Offset? I'm looking for used but may have to pull the trigger on a new set from ccw or weld. I want 10" in the front and 12" in the back. I do know 14" rotors requires a 18" wheel hence why I'm contemplating a 19" wheel for clearance of 15" rotors and big calipers? Any info is appreciated. Thank you kindly!

So I thought this was a different thread at first. I run the stoptech trophy 14” and they are great. Only a 4piston but work well. I went with the wider disc for better cooling( wilwood and Baer have narrower discs), but I went with a more street pad for lower dust. It does affect the bite but I don’t have to wipe down the wheels every time I stop either. Will use a hawk pad next time(hp5.0 or hps5.0) same great low dust but great bite.

The 18”welds with big brake cut fit nice, but never bought the rears so still running the 2000R wheels the car came with. Will be putting the welds back up for sale soon as the car will be going back to Joe (Byepolar Performance)this winter for upgrades and more hp since 750 isn’t near enough.

Has reaper stated if they are making an IRS kit with electric parking break?

it is a hydraulic E-brake. The line from the car goes into the ebrake unit and over to the caliper. When you pull the cable ebrake it pumps up the caliper and locks it.
Q: Do the Reaper 13" use stock rotors like the Baer 4 calipers?
he says no, all these kits are 2 piece rotors and thicker than stock

No eta on an IRS rear kit - needs to test fit a set for clearance, waiting on rear kits to arrive to look into it.

1) just to be clear - I have nothing to do with these kits, I dont sell em, I dont get anything from them selling or anything else. Just passing the info along.

2) 99-04 cars don't have an e-brake option currently because one side uses a weird line that the kit manufacturer doesn't make to work with the e-brake unit. The funky fitting is only on one side. He's looking into trying to find something that will work with that side and also investigating the possibility of just using 1 ebrake unit on the one side that uses a normal line/fitting. I can't say I've ever paid much attention to the rear brake lines to really know what he's talking about

I forgot to mention - apparently not all wheels are a true diameter across the whole barrel. They had a car in with 17" SVE deep dish terminator wheels on the rear and it's narrower in the center. The calipers clear the barrel with a spacer but not without it.

I spoke with hawk and they recommended the ceramic pads over the hps or 5.0. Better in everyday they told me.
That's what I'm running under the new set up.

I had the hps on the stock brakes before the bear. they made a ton of dust.

I've been running the hawk ceramic pads for years. I wanted something with minimal dust. Mainly because of my true forged mach 5 wheels.

They work good. However, I'm running stock calipers still....

13 Inch Rotors, 4 Piston. Wheels are 18”. I found them locally brand new in the boxes NOS from 2011 and bought them. The Rarity and Visual looks and price point drove my decision.
