So I'm getting my car build as we speak and I was told that once the car is done I will be over 800rwhp. So right I run toyo r888 315/35/18 I was wondering if there is a better hooking tire at this power.

m/t et street is your best bet for an 18 but you still will have zero traction in 1st/2nd and 3rd may be iffy depending on your suspension. I'd suggest a set of 15's with a 275/60 m/t radial pro if you plan on street miles.

Edit: what setup are you going to be running to clear 800?

m&h racemasters. a lot of gt500 guys run those in 18's that are making a lot of power.
you could also go to a hoosier 335/18 but that tire has a much smaller sidewall so it would be hell on your halfshafts.

do you still have an irs?

If do plan on some street miles and it would be 2.9 whipple crusher, cams, built heads and e85 plus supporting mods

The racemasters will give you a decent sidewall. They come as a 28 tall. That will probably be the best bet.
