Wife and I will be, to finish sighting in our ARs. Ive got a few hundred rounds of some older M855 that Im using to rough center and get trigger time. Just need to find some match .223 for the final adjustment. Then some Winchester Q3340 to observer pattern and drop. I bought a case of it over the summer. Its like a poor man's Black Hills 77gn OTM. Purple dyed training ammo production overrun for Homeland Security. Supposed to be ballistically similar so Homeland and other ABC agencies can get trigger time in with cheap rounds. Its got some great velocity out of a 16" barrel and its straight moving out of a 20". Has a crudely produced "otm" projectile, but still violently fragments on contact. I was able to get my hands on 300 rounds of the now defunct USMC Mk318 Mod1. Those rounds are the first line of defense... and jesus christ are they fight stoppers out of 20" barrels. I just hope that someday we see bulk production of the now standard M855A1 make it to the civilian market. Doubt it with the new communists in office.
