We have no issue trouble shooting and repairing appliances, etc. Everything is available on the web. Repair info can be downloaded for free by most manufacturers. Our most difficult repair was an internal projection tv that the color wheel disintegrated. We fixed it and it lasted another 5 years. Two nights ago the wife, my 13 year old and me repaired a 25 year old hp plotter at 9pm -11pm in the evening so I could print out a set of house plans for a customer. I wanted to replace the board on the stove that broke but the part was near $500. That's BS, unacceptable and down right crooked, as it is a common repair. Whirlpool clearly is focused on design obsolescence not customer satisfaction. Did I mention I will never buy whirlpool again! Whirlpool sucks. Buy the way. I must add that Lowe's provided 3 full kitchen appliance and cabinets, for 3 custom houses I built the year before. That leverage did help I believe.
