    What's up guys?

I've done some research on brakes and I'm curious what everyone thinks about the best brake setup for under $400. Car use will be street driven, unlikely to see a track. If it does it'll be once in a blue moon. 500whp.

See the three options in the polls and share any experiences you may have.

    If other, please specify.

For $400 you are essentially looking at four centric blank replacement rotors, a set of pads and fluid.

You will see no measurable diff in performance between pads so pick your poison.

Lines could be next for another $250ish.

FWIW, my experience with cheap rotors (Power Stop) is that the zinc plating comes off easily and looks like crap a month later. Centric rotors have the epoxy black coating and will stay looking fresh, so I recommend them.

As stated above i would go that route. Not sure why you would want to go cheap on a 500hp car but above info should work best.

I didn't really view it as cheaping out. With a little over 130whp over stock I assumed the factory brake set up would be fine.

The next step up would be a big brake kit or 2 piece rotors, no?

I'm open to your thoughts. I don't mind spending the money, just didn't want to get something that was overkill for a weekend cruiser.

I have Power Stop on my wife's car and they have been there awhile and they still look same as the day I bought them.
