You smoking them? 8hrs doesnt seem long enough. I let the 10lb butts go for 14-15hrs

Yes. They smoked for 10 hours total: 225* until the meat reached 165*, then covered at 275* until it hits 205*. Three of the butts were 8-9 lbs and the small one was 7.


What are you cooking on? I'm doing a butt tomorrow on my Yoder.

Just a little Traeger with apple pellets. I’ve been really happy with it though. I had a grill emergency last week and did steaks on it for the first time - they were incredible. Probably the best steak I’ve had.

Nice. I started with a Traeger Pro years ago, always made great food. Bought a Yoder YS640 for more grill space and haven't regretted my decision yet. Had a hard time deciding between the Yoder and a Treager Timberline series.
