BBK Long Tube Headers install with Transmission out of the car

Hey Guys,
I am very new to these forums, this is my first post so bear with me. I am currently installing BBK Long Tubes on my 03 Cobra and I know NOW that I need to drop the K member. Well, I pulled the transmission out and got the Passenger side in. I'm realizing now that I might not be able to put the transmission back in if I put both headers in. Should I pull the Header back out and put the tranny back in and then drop the k member or is there a way to put the trans back in after both headers are in? Help!

If you separate the bell housing from the transmission and install it first that will make slipping the trans through the header flanges much easier.
