Dam that dude was cool as a cucumber, and the passenger didnt even get one single "bitch be cool". You would think this was a normal and regular occurence, unbelievable.
Sure looks like a simulated engine failure for training or demonstration purposes to me. Why did he casually say "mayday" and not tell anyone what was happening and where they were going down? If they were really an emergency, you'd have a long hike out of the mountains after that. On top of that, I believe autorotations are a myth that helicopter pilots are told so they don't scream all the way to their inevitable demise. Lol

Auto rotation is not a myth. Watched them all the time practicing it in Nam. Pretty cool coming down with hardly any noise at all.

Uncle Gwen was a hoot, when he and my dad got together, ****ery was afoot.

The ferarri 10 sec at 144 is ridiculous. The Lemans car is not as fast I would expect.
Race cars aren't as fast-accelerating as you might think, and they don't transfer weight worth a damn when you try to launch them. They're really designed to work well in the 50-180 MPH range that typifies race track driving, and for a LeMans car, to get reasonable fuel economy while spending a lot of time being driven flat out.

If you wanted to see what that race car was all about, ask them to do a couple laps of the track. The LeMans car is going to be 15 sec/lap faster than the Ferrari around Laguna Seca...

I feel like from what I saw of the Porsche 919 Evo doing that final track tour that it might be an exception to that rule. That thing was insane in every regard.

How long is the treadmill and how fast is it going?

Helicopters scare me, whether or not they should is the real debate I suppose.
My buddy was a Blackhawk pilot. He says he was told that you shouldn't trust an aircraft where the wings go faster than the fuselage.

Flying on the helos was one of my favorite parts of the military. When I got to the fleet, my company had just switched from tracks to helos so everything we did was centered around them basically. If you think helicopters are bad, some of the stories about tracks were awful. Stories of them driving off the bulkhead into the water but instead of floating back upto the surface they'd just sink with everyone on board. Or catching fire and trapping everyone in the back. No thanks.

I hate both tracks and helicopters.

Neither should be able to do what they do.

Jorge Martin got stiffed by Ducati when they signed Marc Marquez for the factory team for next year. He signed for factory Aprilia instead of staying put. The Pramac is going to run Yamahas next year and probably won't be competitive.

I saw a headline earlier today that said Ducati wasn't going to be fielding as many bikes next season?

Built Coyote F150 SCSB F150s have been a thing for a while but it seems like they've taken off a lot more lately. Have they become the current king of the streets? Just saw that TRC has one making 1716hp and revs to 8200rpm. That's nuts!

Skip to 35min mark for street pulls.

Yeah. They've got 8 bikes on their grid this year, so they'll still have more than anyone else next year. Yamaha was down to just the factory team so they'll be back to 4 bikes with Pramac moving to Yamaha. They're queering up MotoGP in 2027 by reducing the engines from 1000cc to 850cc and throwing a bunch of new restrictions on the bikes. I think they're just trying to reset the field since Yamaha and Honda are now the worst bikes on the grid now. It's a real bummer for the likes of Ducati, Aprilia and KTM who are much smaller companies and put the work in to beat the Japanese brands. In the end, it's all a marketing exercise and if the big brands can't win they'll just pull out so I guess it's better for the sport.

That was a great video to watch. Power just kept climbing with every change. Those street pulls with 1716hp was crazy. That's such an impressive platform.
