I remember hearing Simon Crafar (former MotoGP racer) talk about visiting the KTM factory in Austria and hearing them run a dyno simulation and just by hearing the engine he could tell that they were simulating a race at Mugello.
Also heard they have had racers be able to listen to the bike audio only and they can tell exactly where they are on which track.
