There's a strange clicking noise coming from the area of the right rear and I'm wondering if a CV joint is going bad? Anyone else had a CV joint go bad, what does it sound like?

I had them go bad on a Mazda. They were clicking like you said. When I pulled the shafts out the boots were torn and the grease was gone. Usually you can get replacements through Autozone or Napa. But if you're in there it might be worth looking into upgrading to the 03/04 shafts.
