Auto swap from M6 Questions

Hey all this is what I have going on.

I have a 2013 Mustang GT Premium and I am looking at maybe buying a A6 trans from a 2012. Is that doable? If so what all would be involved going from a 13 to 12?

The other thing is all I am getting is the trans so I would be looking at buying a new or used 12 premium ecu. Am I going to have headaches? Should I only look for a 13/14 trans? I do want everything to work in the car. It'll remain a DD.

Trans is the same 11-14. 13, 14 have select shift and the shifter plug in the console is physically different. I made a 12 manual car into a fully functioning select shift setup with a 13 pcm and trans.. A few circuits had to be added lol

What about a 13 car with a 12 trans? Harness for the 13-14 shifter is there will the 12 trans support the select shift? (13-14 ecu and shifter of course)
